A number of organizations sponsor learning programs on budget analysis and other types of budget work that are of a few days to a couple of weeks in length. These types of programs can provide a solid introduction to different types of budget work as well as helpful answers to basis questions that organizations have when they begin or as they do budget work. Training programs


Partnership (IBP), Fundar and the International Network for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR- Net), sponsors national, regional and international learning programs on human rights budget work. The programs, which vary in length, generally focus on economic and social rights, budget analysis, the many, complex links between the rights and government budgets, and how to translate an understanding of those links into effective advocacy. Past programs have included regional programs in West Africa, Asia and Latin America. For more information on these programs, write to
